Showjumper Joe Fernyhough Chosen for Prestigious British Equestrian Podium Potential Pathway Programme
EQuerry is pleased to continue supporting the professional showjumper Joe Fernyhough and Calcourt Equestrian, as Joe has been picked to join the esteemed British Equestrian Federation (BE) Podium Potential Pathway level of their World Class Programme for 2023–2025. The Podium Potential Pathway strives to identify, nurture, and cultivate promising young athletes with the potential to join senior championship teams in the future. Supported by funding from UK Sport and Sport England, this program extends selected athletes a two-year cycle of support and education. Aimed at enhancing foundational skills crucial for podium success, participants can potentially continue on the pathway for up to four years, subject to re-selection. Athletes benefit from exposure to leading equestrian specialists, encompassing diverse areas such as biomechanics, physiotherapy, sport psychology, nutrition, and career management.
